City Walk Fantasies
An Audio-Visual Experimental Project
Tools: Pro Tools, Adobe Suite, Cinema 4D
This is an experimental, stream-of-consciousness project, which presents my fantasies living in Beijing and NYC. It contains video collages and sound design.
I. Urban Aquarium - NYC
I first made five sound pieces of a personal sound logo and four different times of the day based on my impression of living in the new york city. Then I mixed them and used a video collage to visualize the new sound.
(This piece, originally titled Dreams in NYC, was selected for the Personaland's “Personal Archeology” show.)
II. Steam Wave - Beijing
I first recorded a street sound in Beijing and visualized it in motion graphics.
Then I use this video to re-create a new experimental sound piece in Pro Tools, using 20 short sound recordings.
III. Ridiculous? Hilarious? - NYC
I recorded a "song" called Ridiculous? Hilarious? with my friend and remixed it in Pro Tools, which presents my feeling of NYC. Then I made a video collage according to the audio.
